Access a Conference Room

Internal Access

  1. Dial the extension.
  2. Enter the conference room password (if required).
  3. Record your name and then press # (if required).

External Access

There are three ways for callers to access a conference room externally:

  1. The caller is blind transferred to the conference room extension.
  2. The caller is routed to the conference room through a dial plan (auto attendant node or conference room node).
  3. The caller dials a phone number that is directed to the conference room.

Once connected:

  1. Enter the conference room password (if required).
  2. Record your name and then press # (if required).

In-Call Conferencing Controls

There are a number of in-call conferencing controls. Controls vary based on whether participants access the conference room as a "user" or an "admin" (determined by the password entered).

Dial * to access conferencing controls.

Code Action
1 Mutes or un-mutes your microphone.
(Admin) 2 Locks or unlocks the conference (no new participants will be admitted).*
(Admin) 3 Ejects the last user who joined the conference.*
4 Decreases the conference volume (the conference will be quieter to you).
5 Disabled (no action on Jive's System).
6 Increases the conference volume (the conference will be louder to you).
7 Decreases your volume (you will be quieter to the other participants).
8 Exits the conferencing controls menu.
9 Increases your volume (you will be louder to the other participants).

*Admin users cannot be locked out of a Conference Bridge or ejected once they have joined.
