How to request approval for access to a non-Microsoft app

When attempting to set up your Microsoft 365 account in a non-Microsoft app (e.g. iOS Mail, Gmail, etc), you may receive a message that approval is required before you can continue setup.

We recommend using the pre-approved Microsoft apps such as Outlook but if you do need to access company resources through a non-approved app, follow the steps below to gain admin approval.

1. Enter the reason you need access to this app in the box and click/tap ‘Request approval’.


2. You will see confirmation that your request has been sent. You will then need to contact GRS Technology Solutions by phone or email. One of engineers will then review the request and approve the app. Once the request has been approved, you can continue the setup of your account in the app.
